Welcome letter

Dear colleagues,

It is my great honor and pleasure to invite you to the 4th National Congress of the Croatian Society for Cardiac Surgery, which will be held from 7 to 9 May 2026 at the Park Plaza Histria Hotel in Pula.

The National Congress of the Croatian Society for Cardiac Surgery has become the main event of our Society in recent years. Already today, it is becoming a central place for the exchange of knowledge and experiences of the cardiac surgical community in Croatia and the region. After the successful edition of the congress in 2024, I am proud to announce a new edition dedicated to modern achievements and innovations in the field of cardiac surgery and stroke professions.

The program of the #HDKK2026 congress will be focused on promoting young lecturers, improving Croatian cardiac surgical science, and presenting interesting and educational clinical cases. During the congress, invited lectures by eminent Croatian and foreign experts, scientific sections, satellite symposia, panel discussions of "hot" topics will be held, and there will also be free topics, resident sections, and posters. An interesting and rich exhibition of our sponsors is also planned.

I ask all the members of the Society to extend their membership for 2026, which is made easier for you by the fact that there is a barcode of the payment slip on the Society's website. With paid membership, the registration fee is reduced.

The symposium is primarily intended for cardiac surgeons, but also cardiologists, thoracic and vascular surgeons, as well as experts from related fields - neurology, radiology, and anesthesiology. In addition to doctors, nurses, technicians, and perfusionists are an integral part of our environment and they will have a special section.

We look forward to your participation and cooperation in creating another successful edition of the National Congress of the Croatian Society for Cardiac Surgery.
